Lettre du 28 octobre 1586 (de Sienne): "Serenissimo Gran Duca unico mio Signore, Ho consignato questa mattina al procaccio uno scatolino drento al quale vi ho messo 24 medagliette greche et un Adriano latino raro per rivercio restitutori frigi e riceva il mio buon animo e si degni tenermi nella sua buona grazia, che altro non desidero in questo mondo, sotto la cui protezione desidero vivere e morire. E se non era ch'el procaccio è passato di qui tanto a buon ora gli averei dato anche alcune figurine antiche di rnetallo, quali non mancherò di inviarle a l'Altezza Vostra Serenissima e umilmente facciole riverenza. Le prego perpetua felicità.
