Lettre du 23 janvier 1587 (de Rome): "Serenissimo Gran Duca Padrone mio proprio, Per il procaccio presente mando all'Altezza Vostra Serenissima drento a uno scatolino il medaglione greco di Commodo giovine per riverso una statua equestre et il prigione sotto, medaglione molto raro e non più visto et è quello stesso che altre volte io le dissi d'aver lasciato insieme con la figurina di metallo antica inviatali ultimamente qui nelle mani di Domenico Camei. Accetti il mio buon animo e sia sicura che di affezione e di riverenza io non cedo ad alcun altro suo servitore e desidero che si degni tenermi in sua buona grazia et umilmente le bacio la veste, pregando il Signor Iddio per la sua felicità e di tutti li suoi.
