Lettre du 18 mai 1557 (de Parma): "[...] Circa le medaglie non resto di seguitare, ed ogni dì l'erario multiplica. Aspetto con desiderio quelle che m'avete procurate. E senza aspettare la partita di messer Alessandro vi prego a consegnarle in mano del signor Giovanni Pacini insieme con la dechiarazione de gli rovesci, facendo un piego d'ogni cosa, e mettendovi dentro le medaglie, che tutto verrà sicuramente. Del Gallicola (sic), se non si truova pazienza, non mi parendo onesto ricercarne al signor Tomaso, per non rompere i suoi conserti. Quanto a dire che bisognerebbe trovargli una ricompensa, vorrei saper volentieri d'aver qualche cosa che gli piacesse, che glie ne mandarei subito, senza aspettar altro da lui, e mi sarà caro che mi mandiate una nota di quel che gli manca, perché se sarà appresso di me, o d'amici miei, sarà compiaciuto.
