Lettre du 22 décembre 1578 (de Tarragone): “El Maestro Alvar Gomez ha ganado por la mano a v. m. que me ha embiado todas las medallas que tiene de Cоlonias, у Municipios, y de Reyes Godos para enriquecer mis dialogos, donde trato dellas; alli he visto las que alega Ambrosio de Morales, especialmente dos, la una Ermenegildo, y la otra de Acosta, que estan harto falsamente puestas. De Segobriga hay dos; v. m. creo que tiene por cierto que no es Segorbe, y haze burla del pleyto de Valencia, no sè si con Segorbe, ò con Carthagena deseo saber que Pueblo creeque es Segobriga, de laqual dize Plinio que es caput Celtiberiæ, y Ptolomeo la pone en la Celtiberia cabe Ergavica, y en la misma Provincia ponen a Tarazona, y Bilbilis. Nuestro Señor guarde a v. m. En Tarragona a XXII. de Deziembre" (Agustin 1772, Opera Omnia, vol. VII, p. 221-222).
