Lettre du 18 janvier 1727 (de Vienne): “Ho ricevuto con la vostra lettera il bel medaglione di Papa Leone X regalatomi dal fratello, il quale mi è stato assai caro. Rimando le tre medaglie di bronzo, acciocchè possiate restituirle a chi ve le ha date. Quella di Ottacilia Latina è buona, ma ordinaria, e ne tengo io pure di duplicate. Le altre due Greche sono false, e se fossero state buone, le avrei prese assai volentieri, ancorchè mi fossero dovute costare due Luigi. Le altre d’argento da voi comprate per undici lire non erano undici, come mi scrivete ma nove. In esse avete impiegato il danaro assai bene, poichè ve n’erano cinque ch’io non aveva, quantunque non sieno rare.
