Lettre du 4 juin 1708 (de Venise): “Il Sig. Conte Silvestri ha molto bene rappresentato a V. S. Illma e Rma le difficoltà, che incontro nel cominciamento della mia novella applicazione allo studio delle medaglie. Ne aveva unito fortunatamente in pochi mesi di buone, per non dir ottime; ma a viva forza mi è convenuto privarmene, per non dovere pregiudicarmi nella grazia di qualche Cavaliere mio protettore, della qual per altro tengo al presente bisogno.
