Lettre du 21 avril 1731 (de Venise): “Circa le tre medaglie di codesto antiquario, io già le scrissi, che non mi sentiva disposto a spendere per esse più di sette zecchini ; e poichè egli mi esibisce anche il medaglione di Etruscilla col rovescio Pudicitia, prenderò anche questo, purchè si contenti di dieci zecchini, che per esso e per le tre prime gli offerisco. In caso che tal prezzo lo soddisfaccia, me le faccia tener qui, ed io tostochè le abbia vedute, e le trovi antiche e ben conservate, sborserò il danaro in mano della persona alla quale ne avrò la commissione. Qui in questo genere non si vede cosa che vaglia. Il paese già sì dovizioso n'è affatto povero. Lo stesso mi scrivono da Vienna.
