Lettre du 12 septembre 1744 (de Venise): “Al solo giudizio di lei assoggetterei tutto il mio studio, e per me questo sarebbe sicuro e incontrastabile. Oh quanto volentieri abbraccierei l’occasione, per farne vendita! Questa guerra di Boemia mi leva que’ soccorsi, che la Regina (Maria Teresa, ndr) mi aveva su quelle rendite assicurati. Ciò mi riduce alla necessità di privarmene, e non potendolo tutto ad un tratto esitare, lo darei anche diviso, ma in serie ; così tutte quelle medaglie che ho in oro, o quelle in argento, o quelle in metallo, prima, seconda, o terza grandezza” [BnM, Ms. It.
