Lettre du 10 août 1723 (de Prague): "Sono contentissimo dell’acquisto fatto della medaglia di T. Quarcino anche per le 100. lire. Se bene in essa non si legge, che DIVO TITO, ella è pero del Tiranno vivuto verso i tempi di Severo, e prima dei XXX. Tiranni, (se pur non m’inganna la memoria) e non mai dell’Imperador Tito, come si vede dalle fattezze di lui. Ella è delle più rare, che si veggano ne’ gabinetti ; e pochissime se ne trovano. Il primo a produrla credo che sia stato il Tristano" (Zeno 1752, vol. 2, lettre n° 143, p. 282; Zeno 1785, vol. 3, lettre n° 600, p. 379-380).
