-Lettre du 31 oct. 1589 (de Prague) : il Duca aveva in passato cercato di comprare le monete di Strada, evidentemente senza riuscirvi, per cui il corrispondente si offre di combinare l’affare con gli eredi ed invia assieme alla lettera « la nota della qualità et grandezza, tanto delle medaglie, quanto de’medglioni » ; nelle minte e nel carteggio restituito del Duca e del suo segretario Laderchi non si trova traccia di questa proposta, su cui Gerladini aveva chiesto risposta in tempi brevi « per non tener a bada costoro senza speranza di conclusione » (Modena, ASMo, ASE, Cancellaria Ducale, Ambasciatori, Germania, b. 48 ; Missere Fontana 1995, p. 226, note 71).
