Lettre du 21 février 1710 (de Modène) : Mezzabarba « mi disse che s’era risoluto di non farne altro, quando usci l’opera de epochis Syro – mac del Noris » ; Mezzabarba est décrit comme « mio amicissimo » ; il est considéré par Muratori comme le seul à Milan qui se dédie à l’« érudizione soda » (Parma, Biblioteca Palatina, ms. Parm. 1578, lettre n° 19 ; F. Missere Fontana 2000, p. 167, note 27, p. 191, note 121).
