Lettre du 2 février 1713 (de Modène) : « Non so ch’il P. Pedrusi abbia stampato altro, son ben certo che le Medaglie del fu Conte Mezzabarba quasi subito doppo la sua morte furono vendute ad una dama torinese che le mandò in Francie (Jeanne de Luynes), et i libri, e scritti letterati andarono dispersi. Il Conte figliuolo, et erede non ha gusto per queste cose, e di tutto si prevalse un figliuolo naturale del Defonto, ch’era Somasco di grande spirito, e che anni sono passò a miglior vita » (Parma, Biblioteca Palatina, ms.
