Grand documentOriginal passage from the "Grand document".
Lettre du 25 janvier 1679 (de Padoue) : So Patin suggested buying only from well-known people with the help of «vir[i] bon[i] & harumce rerum gnar[i] » «If you buy coin from me and you are not satisfied, you can return it within two months without paying anything»; Patin considered less rare a (probably) sestertius of Philippus the Arab with the inscription LAET FVNDATA (fig. 2), already described by Occo, but Averoldi’s coin had a peculiarity: the reverse had been struck twice, so «duplex conspiciatur typus» (Padova, Museo Bottacin, MB 855, c. [3-4] ; voir Callegari 2020).
