Grand documentOriginal passage from the "Grand document".

Lettre du 26 mai (sans date) (de Londres, Hertford Street): The impression of the head of Alexander N had sent her resembles the head on coins her son had brought from some of the Greek islands, and perhaps N would like to see these either at Barham Court or conveyed by her sister Lady Hamlyn Williams. She and Lord S. would be glad to be favoured by a morning visit by N in London by appointment. They have a few vases supposed to be 3,000 years old brought by their son from the island of Milo, found below the foundations of an amphitheatre. She would be delighted to see N’s collection of portraits which she is told is the finest in Europe. (Oxford, Bodleian Library, MS Eng. misc. d. 166 fols. 47-48).
