-Lettre du 4 novembre 1688 (de Florence) : « Vetustae Syro-Macedonum monetae, Monetam celebratissimum vatem, in ipse operis mei fronte praeconem habebunt, qui eruditissimisac elegantissimis versibus eorumdem praetium augebit. & quidem meus ille tot jam vestris laudibus exceptus, simiolus placere incipit, qui antea sui deformitate auctori non dicam risum, sed indignationem movebat: verum tardius ex Typographorum officina prodibit, ita enim hic opera lentiores sunt, ac saepe feriantur » (Noris 1741, lettre CLXXIX, col. 343-344).
