Lettre du 17 septembre 1680 (de Florence): évoque le danger des faux et des erreurs de monétaire: "Qual errore si corregge dall’iscrizione del Signor Spon, ove Probo è detto D. N. Aug. osservi nel fine dell’anno 276. la medaglia d’Aureliano col roverscio: P. M. TR. P. VII. COS III. P. P. Quale certamente è finta, perché dall’iscrizione del Signor Spon si vede Probo Imperatore nell’anno 277. ne circa questo so addure altro oltre lo stampato da me nel cap. 6. cit. loco. Ne altro occorrendomi le bacio le mani. Noti dalle monete in qual anno Sept, Severo è chiamato PARTHICUS, per regolare la cronologia dell’anno primo della Trib. Pot. d’Antonino. Firenze 17.
