-Lettre du 9 novembre 1683 (de Florence) : « Invio accluse in questo foglio le medaglie Greche mezzane del Museo di S. A. S. fino a Settimio Severo. Come le mezzane sono in numero maggiore, ho da esse principiato a copiarle. Poscia porrò la mano a quelle di prima grandezza, ed a qualche medaglione, se vi sarà. Ho lasciate quelle che non sono intiere, ed hanno guasta in parte l'iscrizione, siccome altre che si legono nell'Erizzo, e nel Tristano. In una di L. Vero mi sono scordato della figura del rovescio; ma gliela copiarò. Veggo che nell'Indice di S. A. vi sono alcuni errori, perchè chi lo copiò in bel carattere non sapeva Greco, e con tal occasione con gli occhi su le medaglie originali, faccio le necessarie correzioni. Se ella in alcuna averà difficoltà, me l'avvisi » (Noris 1741, lettre LXXXVI, col. 237-238).
