-Lettre du 19 novembre 1686 (de Florence) : « Diocleziano celebrò i XX. nell'entrare dell'anno 20 dell' Imperio, e così anco suscepit Vota XXX. Io non ho notate nel Museo Mediceo che medaglie trite e stampate de i X. di M. Aurelio, e Antonino Pio. Li numeri X. XX. che sono nelle medaglie di Giustiniano o altri, come Eraclio ec. sono gli anni dell'Imperio, perchè in quei tempi non leggo nelli Storici nominarsi mai li X. Se gl'Imperadori facevano i voti nell'entrare dell'anno XX. o XXX. dell'Imperio, S. M. Ces. ora è nell'anno 30 dell'Imperio, e credo che fosse eletto imperatore adi 2.
