-Lettre du 24 mars 1690 (de Florence) : « At Diocletianus Aurelio Victori in libro de Cæsaribus, dicitur, primus ex auro veste quæsita, Serici ac purpuræ gemmarumque vim &c. quem vestium luxum subsecuti postea Augusti & Cæsares imitati sunt, quod in horum nummis apparet, uti & gemmatum diadema, cum veterum Augustorum capita laurea redimita visantur, qua tamen carent puri Cæsares, uno Domitiano excepto, cujus rationem reddo in libro de Epochis Syromacedonum nuper a me typis evulgato cum Fastis Consulabus e veteri Cod.
