Lettre du 15 novembre 1583 (de Bologne): "[...] In questo viaggio ho acquistato alcuni bronzetti e medaglie, che tutto mando a Vostra Altezza Serenissima, a fine che sendoci cosa alcuna di sua sodisfacione si degni servirsene. La nota serà alligata con la presente. E pregando come facio la Maestà di Nostro Signore Iddio per la felicità di Vostra Altezza Serenissima, farò fine umilmente basciandole le mani. Di Vostra Altezza Serenissima umilissimo e devotissimo servitore Ercole Basso.
