Lettre du 10 octobre 1575 (de Bologne): "Io ho ricevuto li quadri ben condizionati, e tutte le medaglie, che V. S. mi ha rimesse; ma per essere io stato in villa non gliene ho data nuova prima d'ora. Io mi poneva ad ordine per andare a Venezia, e a Padova, dovechè sperava d'acquistar qualcosa di buono per sua Altezza e per V. S. Ma li romori della peste mene lavano l'animo, e mi risolvo di starmene per ora così. Intendo da Roma, che 'l Galgano col favore del signor Paolo Giordano è per venir costì colle sue medaglie, fralle quali ce ne sono delle molto belle; nondimeno non avrà a far con morti. Averei ben caro d'intendere poi, se però verrà, il seguito. Intanto V. S. si degni amarmi, e comandarmi, che con tutto il cuore me gli offero, e raccomando baciandole le mani.
