-Lettre du 15 janvier 1796: l’entusiasmo ritardò altre note sui falsi “J’ay la meme que celle publiée par Pellerin, elle a ete trouvé prez de Smyrne, & M. Rostan en a une autre qu’il a achetée à Scio dernierement lorsque nous nous y trouvions ensemble […]. Il me semble que la medaille de Pellerin & les deux que je cite representent un sujet relatif au culte que les Erythréens d’Ionie rendoient a Hercule […]. Quoiqu’il en soit de ma façon de considerer le sujet de cette medaille, je ne dois pas moins vous observer que celle de M.
