-Lettre du 14 nov. 1789 (de Rome): "“Solo vi dico ora che, essendo venuto (prima di tale andata in Prussia) in Ongheria a visitare il Gabinetto del Conte Wickzai, vi ho trovati tanti tesori di rarità numismatica – di cui Eckhel al defunto Conte Padre ha fatto un Tomo in-folio d’indice per il solo Bronzo Imperiale – che ho dovuto promettere e mantenere la parola al Conte Figlio, egualmente passionato e forse più, di ritornarvi per un mese almeno.” (Cagni 1996, p. 262; Williams 2022, p. 248, note 15).
