-Lettre du 20 avr. 1661 : il attend de Massimo son conseil pour savoir ce qu’il doit illustrer dans son ouvrage à côté des grands médaillons :« far disegnare li medaglioni et se… porre fra gli altri medaglioni quelli che se chiamano del cerchio tornito (les contorniates) allhora in luogo de’veri medaglioni » (voir Missere Fontana 2009, p. 281, note 292).
