-Lettre du 21 avr. 1657 : les prix baissent, le collectionnisme est passé, « le città d’Italia erano piene de’ dilettanti et cosi le medaglie si stimavano assai, hoggi sopravenuti in ciascuna città d’Italia gran miserie, sono mancati li denari et li dilettanti et percio si fatiga assai a trovar chi si spenda parcamente li suoi denari » ; se rappelle avec nostalgie les temps « felici che se ne delittavano costi il principe di Conca, il Megliori, il Santafede, il marchese Montorio » (voir Missere Fontana 2009, p. 245, p. 301, note 407).
