-Lettre du 9 juil. 1661 : « Circa li dilettanti delle antiquità qui non ci è novità alcuna, perche’ se ben ciascuno di essi vol spendere poco ad ogni modo semper si va spacciando qualche cosa, ma da molti mesi in qua io spaccio meno, perché un antiquario che ha buona borsa, ma spende con più accortezza de gli altri, facendo venir studii intieri da diverse città, ch’esso ha quelle medaglie che gli piacciono, gl’avanzi li fa dar via a vilissimi prezzi, che pero chi non le vol buttare resta indietro » (voir Missere Fontana 2009, p. 245).
