-Lettre du 20 juil. 1658 (de Rome) : « Dello quattro medaglie cher ultimamente avvisai a Vostra Altezza Serenisima che s’erano qui trovate, già se n’è rinettata quella di Giuliano Apostata, quale è riuscita giustamente bella, ancor che come scrissi sia sottile (alcune)… Ora si rinetta il medaglione di Commodo ; quando saranno tutto in ordine Vostra altezza le vederà, e dirrò di ciascuna il mio parere et qual minor prezzo che ciascuna di esse si potrà dal padrone avere » (Florence, ASF, Carteggio d’Artisti, vol.
