-Lettre du 14 oct. 1651 : doute sur une monnaie de Galère Auguste dont le poids est suspect ; évocation des avis de Peter Fytton ( ?), Lucas Holstenius et d’un chanoine d’Aix, monsieur Bonfil ( ?) ; Gottifredi en possède deux exemplaires : « ancorc’una ch’hebbi da V.S. di quelle che lei compro dalli figli di Lodovico Compagni » ; demande le catalogue des pièces qui sont utile en raison de l’ » infinità di riversi … che arricchiscono gli studii » ; dénonce la fausseté d’une pièce moulée et trop légère : « la Didia Clara è moderna indubitata, ne son contrasegni il colo del metallo et il taglio, la certezza poi è nella leggierezza » (voir Missere Fontana 2009, p. 145, note 104 ; p. 246, note 65, p. 263, note 175, p. 295, note 370, p. 323).
