-Lettre du 8 fév. 1653 : ne restent à vendre que les monnaies déjà dans des collections ; sur les prix payés par Massimo pour des exemplaires de toute beauté : « oltre la spesa [il Medici] fatigarà assai longo tempo perchè bisogna spostar molti studii prima di poter formarne una serie di tal conditione, monsignor de’ Massimi, che da 4 anni in qua ha hauto questo pensiero ha pur hora messo insieme 13 medaglie grandi e pur 100 mezzane e pure non ha mai guardato in denaro, pago al comando 25 scudi due Gordiani africani, 28 scudi una Domitia grande, 8 un porto di Nerone, 8 altri un ’allocutione di Caracalla, 8 un congiario di Gordiano Pio, 12 un Aug.
