Lettre du 6 septembre 1581 (de Florence): "Con la Vostra de II abbiamo riceuto la scatola con le medaglie et altre cosette, che ci avete mandato, le quali ci sono state sommamente grate, non solo per esser già cose del Cardinale Amulio ma anco per l'affetto con che ce l'avete inviate, di che vi ringraziamo per conservarne grata memoria in ogni occasione" (Firenze, Archivio di Stato, MP 256, c. 121v; Barocchi - Gaeta Bertelà 1993, p. 210, note).
