-Lettre du 26 octobre 1737 (de Rome): “Scrivo questa mia per avantaggiar tempo avanti di ricevere sua gentilis.a, dicendole che riceverà dal presente procaccio una scatoletta quadra ricoperta di carta suggellata, a VS. Ill.ma diretta, dentro la quale ritrovarà n.° 15 scarabei, in un de quali è inciso il fiore loto, una plasma con tavolini, testa d’ariete di sopra, e con mano che [?] da spiegarsi col suo bel talento, n.° 3 pietre incisevi vasi, gemma incisevi il Dio canopo, un niccolo con la lettera ‘I’ non so se sia tessera, un frammento di corniola con fig.a s.a a scogli, come trovasi espressa la Britannia ne roversci di medaglie d’Antonino Pio Amorino, che riguarda dentro l’urna sepolcrale, o cineraria, sacerdote velato sacrificante.” (Firenze, Biblioteca Marucelliana, AL XII, f° 147r et v – online).
