-Lettre du 18 avril 1739 (de Rome): “Circa al mio sentimento, dirò col suo = poveri Antiquarii che fatigano, e poi etc. Io compatisco il S.r Venuti, perché ha creduto al Sig.r Borioni, che non è Intelliggente d’erudizione, e potersi meglio consegliare per essempio spiega per Claudio in un rame vecchio di 50 anni fa intagliato dal Bartoli; Un altro Claudio tutto differente d’un pomo stadera, e q.o è veram.te Claudio, ed Io a richiesta e preghiera lo diedi al detto Borioni, e q.o originale, e l’intagliato, che non è più Claudio etc. La sua lettera è lacerata, e le ne mando alcuni pezzi potrà mandare al med.mo” (Firenze, Biblioteca Marucelliana, BVII, 11, f° 138r-139r – online).
