-Lettre du 7 janvier 1741 (de Rome): “Per suo avviso d’aver mandato lo scatolino per la posta, e non per il Procaccio, sono stato alla prima a retirarlo, dove ho trovato il Pertinace, che è scarso d’orlo, che non lo fa della solita grandezza, e nel roverscio non vi è legenda; Questa scarsezza di metallo all’intorno, e leggenda mancante nel roverscio, fa declinare di prezzo la medaglia, che non può pigliarsi al più che per scudi 15; che se più ne troverà le la rimanderò; e intanto per le mie cose ci aggiustaremo in Libri, avendo a caro che ne resti servito.” (Firenze, Biblioteca Marucelliana, BVII, 11, f° 191r-v – online).
