-Lettre du 8 juillet 1741 (de Rome): “A suo tempo spero di servirla per li vasi istoriati etruschi. Circa alla patera capitatale colla ruggine, non vi è altro modo, che rimetterla col bullino, che così si fa nelle medaglie coperte anche di forte ruggine, che però avendovi Io la prattica, me la potrà mandare. Pel nipote della mia defonta Consorte, farà bene a non dargli udienza. Del restante qui cominciano li caldi estivi, ed Io esco solam.te la mattina a buon’ora che è quanto. Circa al Pertinace, il suo prezzo, essendo conservato, è di scudi 20 però attendendone il rincontro, onde bisogna regolarsi d’averlo per meno, e al mio solito” (Firenze, Biblioteca Marucelliana, BVII, 11, f° 211r – online).
