-Lettre du 9 septembre 1741 (de Rome): “Il curioso di med. d’arg.o e di metallo, mi sono aveduto dallo scrivere esser sofisticato, coll’avermi in’una risposta, che Egli veda li suoi belli, e rari vasi; ma non vede le medaglie; ciò vedendo diedi commissione ad altro, che trovatine alcuni io diedi commissione al Sig.r Clemente Ferretti Intendente, e le ne accludo la risposta, che vuol dire, non si sta fuor di speranza d’ottenerne. Se VS. Ill.ma volesse pel Procaccio mandarmi le med. d’arg.o colla Iulia di Tito, e il Pertinace grande senza far notare nel libro il prezzo per risparmio di porto, ne potrei informare detto Amico, e sarebbe come le tenesse in sue mani, toccando a me di renderle esatto conto.” (Firenze, Biblioteca Marucelliana, BVII, 11, f° 217r – online).
