-Lettre du 26 septembre 1744 (de Rome): “Dal Sig.r Carlo Frederich dopo l’ult.a lettera di Parigi, non ho avuto altra, e pure mi lasciò nota d’alcune medaglie che desiderava, ma è costume de Britanni, che giunti nel lor paese, si scordano di tutto, e q.o l’ho pratticato generalmente. ... Onde a VS. Ill.ma diretto lo riceverà col presente Procaccio, e dentro la dedicatoria, trovarà un pachettino entrovi piccole medaglie, che si degnarà mandare a cotesto S.r Barone de Stosch, che me l’ha richiesta” (Firenze, Biblioteca Marucelliana, BVII, 11, f° 283r – online).
