Grand documentOriginal passage from the "Grand document".

'Morus abiens δακτύλιον χρυσοῦν donauit vxori meae, in quo verbis Britannicis γέγραπται, Bona voluntate censeri omnia. Mihi vero vetusta nomismata dedit, aureum argenteumque: in altero est Tiberii effigies, in altero diui Augusti. Quae te scire volui, quia pro his etiam tibi me debere gratiam semper confitebor.' (Allen et al. 1906-1958, vol. 4, p. 350, letter 1145)

['When he left, More gave my wife a gold ring, on which was written in English "All things Doth measure still good will." To me he gave two ancient coins, one gold and the other silver; one with the head of Tiberius and one with the deified Augustus. I tell you this because I shall always admit that I owe these likewise to yourself.'] (translation from Mynors - Bietenholz 1988, p. 56, letter 1145)
