Lettre du 19 août 1752 (de Rome) : “Ho trovato un opuscolo del Suaresio intitolato De numismatis et numis, dove discorre della quistione che è tra Enea Vico, e Sebastiano Erizzo, se le medaglie antiche fossero moneta usuale. Pare che inclini per il sì, e con questa occasione parla dei varj rovesci. L’opuscolo è superficiale pe’ tempi presenti, ma la celebrità dell’autore e il desiderio d’aver tutto in questa materia, me lo farebbe creder degno d’esser messo nello Simbole, quando fosse raro come credo.
