-Lettre du 7 oct. 1710 (de Deventer) : « Ce que vous [ajoutez] pour illustrer davantage les médailles des Hélènes dont j’ai parlé, est beau […] Je vous prie de me vouloir informer si vous avez vu des médailles battues en Sicile au coin d’un chien […] Vous avez vu sans doute, Mr., la médaille où il y a une tête ceinte d’un diadème, et de l’autre côté une vache, et au-dessus d’elle GERMANVS […] » [autres médailles sur lesquelles sont représentées des diadèmes] « Il s’est fallu fort peu que je vous aurais entretenu aussi sur quelques points qui touchent les Arabes ; mais ce sera pour un autre temps ; et, pour dire le vrai, le diadème des impératrices aurem mihi vellit et admonet […] » (Abdel Halim, p. 624-625, n° CCXCVIII).
