-Lettre du 7 décembre 1607 (de Padoue à Rome) : « Il Sig. Cav. Bembo rende a V. S. M. III. il saluto, e la ringrazia molto della memoria che tiene di lui. Non ha alienato alcuna cosa di quelle che aveva quando V.S. M. Ill. le vide, così di marmi come di medaglie greche e latine, pitture e libri, e subito che il Sig. Pignoria se n’andrà a Venezia vedrà il Bruto, benché il Sig. Cavaliere non vi fosse, la quale testa da Monsign. Bembo, e da tutti gli antiquarii del suo tempo che l’ hanno veduta, é stata tenuta tale; e mi ricordo essere stata paragonata con la medaglia di bronzo, la quale aveva per riverso alcuni pugnali; e pare al Sig. Cavaliere di averla ancora, ma nol sa certo » (Caldogno 1835, p. 35-36).
