-Lettre du 12 mai 1704 (de Hanovre) : conseils pour un voyage culturel « À Nuremberg, il y a des gens de considération parmi les gentilshommes du lieu qui ont des cabinets de médailles. [...] Il y a un médecin savant nommé M. Thomasius qui est aussi habile en médailles. Je vous conseillerai d'aller de Nuremberg à Arnstadt, résidence de M. le Comte de Schwarzbourg, un des plus considérables comtes de l'Empire, qui a un des meilleurs cabinets d'Europe pour les médailles anciennes et modernes » (Klopp 1874, III, p.82, Lettre CCCV ; Babin – van den Heuvel – Stuber 2013, lettre n° 259, p. 368).
