-Lettre du 10 février 1650 (d'Amsterdam): "I have some little peeces wich were sent me out of Germanie and are donne in water Colours or miniature, they are medailles of Brasse goolde and silver, some mixt with silver Agats. I do beleeve that if you did see them you would like them verrye wel, the varyetie of the medailles with their diversiteys of Colours douth shouwe fynlye. I never did see anye before done in this way" (Harding 1996, p. 39-44; Burnett 2020b, p. 1442).
