'So yt I resolve you shall part with none of yor medalls from mee, if I am able to purchase ym & therefore Sr I pray send mee the price you sett on all ye Coss: Medalls in yor 4 Boxes, wch I have not, or wch you have therein, for tho I may have many duplicates (by such a number as you & I have) yett I suppose yors better yn mine, & so I will keep yors under a title of Collectio Curtinia (for ye due respect ought to bee given yor 20 years Work. [Coleraine said that he would dispose of his own ‘supernumeraries’] still (as far as I can) to carry on & to compleat yor Designe, & to keep yor Collection intire for the Creditt of this Gentle (?) part of Learning, wch is yett much a stranger in England.'
