Two extracts from the same letter:
'I remember, Sir, that last year you wrote to me about the Collection of Mr Seller which you said consisted of 1000 Coins, whereof one third part were Greek, & the whole valued at £300. ’Tis a great rate, & the coins had need be good, but Mr Charlton has’s the most noble Collection in England, for a private Gentleman, & ’tis worth while even to look upon them.' (Burnett 2020b, p. 1218)
'[Wanley gave advice on a catalogue of books which had presumably been offered to Charlett. Nearly all the 15 or so titles, on which Wanley commented, were numismatic books. He went on to add that] the List is not at all perfect, for you ought to buy Mediobarbus his Roman Coins, a folio of about 40s price in the first place. And Gorlaeus his Dactyliotheca, with Leonardo Augustino, 2, 4^tos of Gronovius Edition should be had. Paruta’s Sicilian coins printed at Rome with the Additions of Leonardo Augostino, is a very rare & scarce book…' (Burnett 2020b, p. 1224)
