-Lettre du 13 mai 1678 (de Lyon) : « Les éditions anciennes n’étaient pas si exactes ou du moins si polies qu’à présent ; mais c’est comme cela que nous l’avons de Rome. Pour ce qui est de Goltzius on estime plus celle de Bruges parce que les planches sont les premières tirées. Néanmoins pour un curieux qui ne s’attache pas fort à la beauté des planches qu’à condition je préférerais l’édition d’Anvers » (Paris, BnF, Ms. Fr. 9360, f° 208).
