Grand documentOriginal passage from the "Grand document".
Lettre du 25 mai 1783 (de Green’s Coffeehouse, Southampton Buildings, London): He finds London by no means suited for confinement by indisposition. He mentions a gold cross put up for sale at Salisbury but at an impossible price, and a copper coin or medal, probably late Roman, which had been packed in a box for delivery to G. He mentions an old friend who has left £100,000 to the Dutch church. (Oxford, Bodleian Library, MS Gough Gen. Top. 40 fol. 310).
