Lettre du 1 juin 1774 (de Paris) : répond à la proposition d’échanger un aureus de Carausius contre des monnaies hellénistiques ; il propose des impériales romaines « dont la quantité pourrait suppléer à la rareté » ; il promet de faire des démarches pour s’enquérir des possiblilités de faire nommer Van Damme correspondant des Inscriptions et Belles-Letres (Den Haag, Museum Geermanno Westreenianum ; Zadoks-Jitta 1952).
