-Lettre du 8 mai 1635 (de Paris), post-scriptum : « Je ne suis qu’à la moitié de l’impression de mes commentaires qui n’ont su se commencer qu’en janvier, faute de rencontre d’un libraire et d’un imprimeur tels que je les desirais ; et encore la rigueur de cette saison-là m’a privé longtemps de la vue des premieres feuilles imprimées, l’imprimeur et mon graveur étant devenus paralytiques ; et qui ne sont encore qu’à demi resuscités. J’ai été aussi quatre mois aux champs durant leur infortune, ce qui a reculé le tout extrêmement : toutefois nous reprenons courage.
