-Lettre du 13 mai 1758 (de Rome) : « A Napoli mi son trattenuto giornate intiere a Capo di Monte fuor la Citta. Questo è un Palazzo principiato da S. M. ma lasciato imperfetto ... I libri e i MSS. stanno ancora ammucchiati, ma i quadri migliori son disposti: la raccolta amplissima di Medaglie Greche ero mio continuo trattenimento, e ne ho cavato lumi insigni per l’opera che sto per dargli l’ultima mano » (Rehm I 1952, n° 211, p. 355 ; Callataÿ 2007, p. 593).
