Grand documentOriginal passage from the "Grand document".

Lettre du 11 mars 1724 (de): only a few weeks later, Bockleth had to report the first changes: the collection was much bigger and contained somewhere between 4,000 and 5,000 coins. Because of this, the widow was demanding a much higher price, namely 2,000 Reichstaler. The biggest impudence, in Bockleth’s eyes, was that if Bessel wanted a catalogue, he not only had to pay for it but also had to find a scholar to draft it! (Library of Göttweig Abbey Cod. 691 76r–77v; Mayer 2020).
